5 important Tips For Coaching Youth Soccer In The English Premier League

Every football player needs to develop through various stages. In all these stages, each player needs proper coaching. Having the usual basic skill is not just enough for a player especially in the English Premier League, he requires proper and constant training to be in his best form so as to compete favorably in the world of soccer. Basically, there are 5 levels of training for players at the most basic level. These include: ball mastery, receiving and passing tactics, moves and scoring, speed and team work.

Ball Mastery: A player needs to be trained on how to handle the ball while playing a match. The coaches at this level must teach the players this if he wants them to get the ball handle it well and score goals.

Receiving and Ball Passing Tactics: Receiving and passing balls is an important part of the game. The coach should ensure he trains his players on this. Any team that has players who receive ball an make accurate passes will certainly dominate the match. When this happens, what do you expect? Goals!

Moves and Scoring: Players need to make calculated moves when they have the ball. It is the duty of the coach to see that his players have the best strategy to retain the ball among them while moving towards the goal post. No matter how good a team plays, if they do not move towards the post, they cannot score. When a player is with the ball close to the post, the next thing is to try and score. Coaches must train players to stay calm and focused during the few seconds they intend to score.

Speed: This is another important aspect of the game. When a team masters the first 3 points, they need to move fast. If the ball moves with speed to the opponent’s goal post, it means the players understand one another and are passing the ball well.

Teamwork: Many teams have very skilled players but still fail to do very well in the field of play. If there is no teamwork, a team can still go ahead and lose a game irrespective of how talented the players are. Coaches need to train players on how to work together. Both the players and the coaching staff must be on the same page to ensure success.

English Premier League: Daniel Ayala And The Norwich City Deal

A good start of the season for Norwich City is the 1-1 draw they played against Wigan Athletic. Norwich City after the Wigan game announced the deal to bring Daniel Ayala to the club. This will be a good boost to their English Premier League games.

Paul Lambert made it clear towards the end of last season that he was going to add more bite to his attacking force. He really need to if he intends to last long here. He has so far demonstrated this by signing two strikers and two wingers.

Also, Paul Lambert tried to reinforce his backline by signing of Ritchie De Laet and Kyle Naughton, both on loan from Premiership clubs. It would be recalled that Norwich City conceded a total of 58 goals last season which is not a very good record for any team. They still need to do a lot of work on their defense if they are to be of good reckoning this season.

It is good news for Norwich City fans to see Daniel Ayala playing for the club. Ayala, Naughton and De Laet all came from big Premier League clubs and will surely make a great difference; Norwich City’s lack of Premier League experience notwithstanding.

Daniel Ayala is a very young player. At 20 he still has a lot of energy and a long playing career ahead. After leaving Liverpool, Ayala will most likely want to prove he is good enough to play in the premiership. This determination will be of advantage to Norwich City. Daniel will likely make the starting lineup; it is not likely he will be a bench warmer with Norwich.

Norwich City will have to work very hard as a team if they are going to move up the league table. Playing beautiful football alone does not take any team far. You need to score goals and try not to concede. This is what the club should work to achieve. In their last game against Manchester City for instance, Swansea dominated possession many times but still went ahead to lose the game 4-0.

Getting a goal against Wigan will surely motivate Norwich City to work harder. They need a lot of hard work to stay in the Premier League for long. How long? Only time will tell.

EPL: Can Chelsea Challenge Manchester United For The Title?

Fans and players alike, all are looking forward to the beginning of the new EPL season. Manchester United are title holders, the question is: can Chelsea wrestle the title from Man U?

The 2010/2011 season finished in this order from first to fifth: Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. It is likely that these clubs will still remain in the top 5 at the end of the coming season. Their positions will however not likely remain the same. It is all about scoring goals. The team with the best strikers will out score the others and claim the title. Can Chelsea make it? Manchester United is a very good side any day. They are not going to sit back and allow any team easy access to the coveted price. Last weekend they came back from a 2 goals deficit to beat neighbors Manchester City 3-2 in the community shield match.

if Villas-Boas can resurrect Torres' career and persuade Colombian forward Radamel Falcao to move from FC Porto to London, and add Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka Chelsea might have a potent enough strike force to challenge for the top spot in the Premier League.

Defending champions Manchester United has a very good strike force. Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatove can always deliver the goals any day. New players are also joining the team for the new season, goalkeeper, David De Gea from Atletico Madrid is one. Wesley Sneijder, the Dutch playmaker from Inter Milan may also join the team before the transfer window closes on August 31.

Arsenal is expected to do a lot more in getting new players to strengthen the team if they are to remain in the top four at the end of the season. So far, Manager Arsene Wenger can only boast of the Ivorian striker, Gervinho from Lille in France for $17 million.

Manchester City can also give title holders Manchester United a good run. Man City manager Roberto Mancini has Aguero and Emmanuel Adebayor who was on loan with Real Madrid is back to join in the attack.

The fact is that Man U remains the team to beat this coming season. No team can just pick the price without a lot of hard work, focus, determination and discipline.

Can Chelsea win the title? It is still too early to tell.
